  Orange Coast College; Women Helping Women

*These organizations are seeking donations

*Needed items: jewelry, dress shoes, purses and prom dresses. 

 

The ball provides deserving young teens the opportunity to shop for their dream dress, absolutely free.

School Wellness Recognition Award Program

 

*sponsored by the ACS (American Cancer Society) and AFHK (Action for Healthy Kids).  The program is designed to recognize and applaud schools that are making significant improvements in their environment related to heathly eating, physical activity, sun safety and tobacco-free lifestyles.  ACS and AFKH want to motivate and empower CA schools to "step up" and create healthy school environments.  To register your school, complete the online Recognition Program application at:

Aquarium on Wheels - Economical, Educational and Fun!

Aquarium on Wheels is a mobile tide pool exhibit that invites students to touch local marine life right at your school! Students participate in interactive standards-based auditorium and classroom programs to learn how ocean inhabitants use their unique adaptations for survival in a watery world.

Programs Available:

Auditorium Programs (40 – 50 participants)
Pacific Journey’s (Grades K to 8), Under the Sea Shapes (PreK), Catch a Wave! (Grades 3 to 5).

Classroom Programs (up to 150 participants)
Amazing Animal Adaptations (Grades K to 2), Predators on the Prowl (Grades 3 to 5), Food Web Frenzy (Grades 6 to 8), It All Flows to Me (Grades 5 to 8), Aquacology on the Road (Grades 9 to 12)
 
Tidepool Display (participant numbers may vary)
Tidepool animal interaction only (Grades PreK to 12)

*All programs include live animal interaction time. Distance and seasonal restrictions apply to some geographical regions. Additional travel costs may apply. Scholarship opportunities are available.

Aquarium on Wheels Pricing:

Auditorium Program
$725 per program for up to 150 participants. Includes animal interaction time.
(A maximum of 2 programs can be booked per day)

Classroom Program
$362.50 per program for up to 40 participants per program. Includes animal interaction time. (A minimum of 2 programs booked per day, maximum of 5)

Tidepool Display
$362.50 per hour with a minimum of 2 hours. An estimated 80 – 100 students can be served per hour. (A maximum of 5 hours can be booked per day)
